The Hellenic community of Port Elizabeth celebrated their annual Christmas function on Sunday 8 December 2013 in the Church hall after the service.
The children enchanted everyone with their performance of the play of the Nativity which was organised by the community Greek teacher, Mr. George Tsiftis and the parish priest, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Joakeim Vasiliakos.
Approximately fifty children participated and the hall was packed with parents, grandparents, god-parents, relatives and friends who thoroughly enjoyed the event. Mr.Tsiftis and Fr. Joakeim are to be commended for their commitment in teaching the children the Greek language alongside encouraging them to participate in the life of the Church.
May their efforts bear fruit and grow from strength to strength!
