On Saturday 23 November 2013, the Russian speaking Orthodox Community of Cape Town attended a Service at the Metropolitan Church of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene at the Archbishopric in Rondebosch. Father Daniel (from Johannesburg) officiated at the service and a number of people from the Russian community in Cape Town attended the service. A group of young Russian women are learning to chant and they participated in the Liturgy.
After the service refreshments were served followed by a spiritual discussion. Father Daniel will be visiting Cape Town in late January to serve a Liturgy.
