Την 27η Ιουνίου 2018, η ΑΘΜ ο Πάπας και Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας και Πάσης Αφρικής κ.κ. Θεόδωρος Β΄, αφίχθη στη Μακεδονία, στην Αποστολική πόλη της Βέροιας, ύστερα από πρόσκληση του οικείου Μητροπολίτου, Σεβασμ. Βεροίας, Ναούσης και Καμπανίας κ. Παντελεήμονος, προκειμένου να προεξάρχει των λατρευτικών εκδηλώσεων προς τιμήν του Αποστολού Παύλου, στο πλαίσιο των ΚΔ΄ Παυλείων.

Την Πέμπτη 28η Ιουνίου το πρωί, ο Μακαριώτατος Πατριάρχης απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό και μοιράστηκε με τους συνέδρους εμπειρίες από την Ιεραποστολή, κατά το κλείσιμο των εργασιών του 24ου Τριημέρου Διεθνούς Επιστημονικού Συνεδρίου των ΚΔ΄ Παυλείων, που φέτος είχε ως θέμα: «Ευαγγελισμός και Ιεραποστολή κατά τον Απόστολο Παύλο», στην Αντωνιάδειο Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών του Δήμου Βέροιας, με την παρουσία εκπροσώπων των Ορθοδόξων Πατριαρχείων και Αυτοκεφάλων Εκκλησιών, οι οποίοι απηύθυναν χαιρετισμό και ανάγνωσαν μηνύματα των Προκαθημένων των Εκκλησιών τους.

Το απόγευμα τελέσθηκε με λαμπρότητα και επισημότητα, Πατριαρχικός Εσπερινός της εορτής των Αγίων πρωτοκορυφαίων Αποστόλων Παύλου και Πέτρου στην πανηγυρίζουσα Παλαιά Μητρόπολη της Βέροιας, προεξάρχοντος του Μακαρ. Πατριάρχου κ.κ. Θεοδώρου Β΄, ο οποίος κήρυξε το θείο λόγο.

The Orthodox Mission of Uganda in its endeavours to spread the word of our Lord embarrassed the use of media and Information technology in 2016. The struggle is so challenging but the mission has to move on. It's on that note the Mr. Ssengendo James with the blessings of Metropolitan Jonah of Kampala and Uganda, request for any support both in kind and financial to help in establishing the requirements need to carry our media work. Some of the include: computers, media equipment and finances to facilitate the few individuals that volunteer to do this work. I am sure with the grace our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall have a successful media department. Future plans include, doing research in the different parishes so as to collect historical and current data to be fed in the website, setting up a WEB-TV and WEB-RADIO so as the broadcast different theological and various aspects of the Orthodox mission in Uganda and the world at large. ORTHODOX CHURCH IN RWANDA - PARISH OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES - RWAMAGANA

WITH the blessing of His Grace Innocentios Byakatonda, the Bishop of the Orthodox Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda, on this Sunday 1st July 2018: the Rwandan Independence Day, was celebrated a Solemn Divine Liturgy in the Parish dedicated to the Twelve Apostles, East Province of Rwanda, District of Rwamagana, just at the Headquarters of the Orthodox Church in Rwanda.

The Divine Liturgy highlighted two events:the postponed celebration of the Synaxis of the Twelve Apostles that should be celebrated on 30th June and the Ordinary Sunday Service where were commemorated the Holy Unmercenary Healers among others the famous Cosmas and Damianos.

Father Panagiotis (Jean Claude) UWIHANGANYE, head priest of the Parish of Saint Mary, assisted by Deacon Theodoros (Jean Paul) MUSONERA, presided the Divine Liturgy co-celebrating with the priests from Kenya: Fr. Eleftherios Isaac MUIRURI from the Archdiocese of Nairobi, Bishopric of Nairobi, and Fr.Kallinikos Kinuthia David from the Diocese of Nairobi, Vicarage of Kiambu who, a Week ago, have come in Rwanda to participate to the Youth Theologian Institute organized by the All African Conference of Churches (AACC) and had benefited from the blessing of His Grace Innocentios Byakatonda to visit and co-celebrate.

Among other visitors were Snr Catechist Julius Papadopoulos from the Orthodox Diocese of Nyeri and Mount Kenya, the Seminarian Francis Watenefrom the Orthodox Theologian Seminary Makarios III in Nairobi, Mr. Emad Atef from the Coptic Church / Egypt who are also participating to the Youth Institute organized by AACC. The team of visitors was escorted by Reader Stephanos Gilbert Pitu Izabayo from the Parish of Saint John Baptist, Georges and Dmitri located in Kaziba, District of Kirehe.

Reader Tuyisenge Fidele Anastasios who is the representative of the Orthodox Parish of the Twelve Apostles and the Coordinator of the Orthodox Church in Rwanda organized all the Liturgical services, the entertainment after the service, and the fellowship that took place at his home.
