Hello Friends!

I have finally arrived here in the US. While I am so happy to have arrived safely and be among friends, I hope you remember St. Barnabas Orphanage in thought , prayer and deed. I will be traveling and spreading the word about the orphanage, our children there and all we hope to provide them with and accomplish for them.
It is my prayer that our travel will go smoothly across the states. But even more importantly , I feel a deep sense of concern that I will be able to return to the children with the good news that their life will change for the better due to the generosity of donors interested in their well being.
I hope to be able to return to tell them the trip had been a success in terms of gaining donations to help provide for their well being.
Please pray for me that this will happen. That people will open their hearts and recognize the good that their generosity can accomplish - for after all , as St. John Chrysostom taught “If you cannot find Christ in the beggar at the church door, you will not find Him in the chalice.”

Am requesting All Orthodox faithful from all over the world, to help Orthodox Church in Rwanda to get permanent churches, because according to guide lines from government of Rwanda we are not allowed to use sem- permanent churches. For this reason most of Orthodox Churches are closed! Keep us in your prayers at the same time in your program."

"On Sundays it is unusual for an orthodox priest to stay at home instead of going to the church for liturgical service! I, fr.Petros do my trisagio at home in the morning, then sitting in the garden, I read the holy scripture .Pray for us to have a CHURCH BUILDING."

Αρχιερατική Θεία Λειτουργία, και Μνημόσυνο Γενοκτονίας των Ποντίων

Την Κυριακή 20 Μαΐου 2018 το πρωί, ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Ζάμπιας και Μαλάουι κ.Ιωάννης μετέβη στον Ιερό Ναό Αγίου Νεκταρίου του Μπλαντάιρ όπου χοροστάτησε κατά την Ακολουθία του Όρθρου και της Θείας Λειτουργίας.
Πριν την Απόλυση της Θείας Λειτουργίας ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης μας, κήρυξε τον θείο λόγο προς το εκκλησίασμα και τόνισε "ότι θα πρέπει να συνειδητοποιήσουμε όλοι ότι ο ξεριζωμός από ένα τόπο αρχίζει με τον ξεριζωμό των μεγάλων πνευματικών και ηθικών αξιών, μέσα από τις καρδιές, τις συνειδήσεις, την ιστορική μνήμη, τον πολιτισμό και την Πίστη ενός λαού. Γι’ αυτό ακριβώς τον λόγο θα πρέπει να μείνουμε σταθεροί και ακλόνητοι σ’ αυτό που παραλάβαμε από τους πατέρες μας και εκφράζει η ζώσα ιστορία μας και η αλήθεια του Ευαγγελίου,στη συνέχεια τελέστηκε Αρχιερατικό Μνημόσυνο υπέρ αναπαύσεως των των σφαγιασθέντων εν Πόντω Ελλήνων. με αφορμή την ημέρα μνήμης της Γενοκτονίας 353.000 Ελλήνων του Πόντου (1916-1923)"

Συγκινητική ήταν η υποδοχή που επεφύλαξε η Φιλόπτωχος Αδελφότητα Ανδρών Θεσσαλονίκης στον Πατριάρχη Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής κ. Θεόδωρο Β΄, τιμώντας το ιεραποστολικό του έργο, την αναγόρευσή του σε Επίτιμο Διδάκτορα της Θεολογικής Σχολής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης αλλά και τη συμπλήρωση 40 χρόνων από τη χειροτονία του Αλεξανδρινού Προκαθημένου σε ιερέα, το 1978.

Όπως μάλιστα χαρακτηριστικά τόνισε ο Πρόεδρος της Φιλοπτώχου Αδελφότητας κ. Λεωνίδας Παπαδόπουλος (ο οποίος είναι και μάλιστα Αιγυπτιώτης, Καϊρινός), είναι ιδιαίτερα συμβολική η σύμπτωση, να υποδέχεται τον Αλεξανδρινό Προκαθήμενο στο εκκλησάκι του Αγίου και Αποστόλου Παύλου, στην Άνω Πόλη Θεσσαλονίκης, όπως και σε ναό του Αγίου Παύλου στην Κρήτη είχε γίνει η χειροτονία του Πατριάρχου τότε σε ιερέα.

"Celebrating the feast day of Ss. Constantine and Helen at the Orthodox Parish of Ss. Constantine and Helen located in Kayunga District, Bugerere County – Kisoga Village. This Parish was started in 1960 by late Rev. Fr. Kasujju Athanasios and currently Rev. Fr. Mwebaze Simon is serving as the Parish priest.
The Vicar General Rev. Fr. Paul Mutaasa, Protosingelos Rev. Fr. Mutalagwe Charalambos, Rev. Fr. Kabuye Nectarios, Rev. Fr. Lubega Protholomos, Rev. Fr. Luwaga Samuel and Rev. Sister Thavoria took part in the Holy Liturgy to commemorate this special day.
The Parish has a passion Fruit garden as one of the projects that are used to enable sustainability of the Church.
